The MES Project team has an immediate opening for an Associate MES Software Engineer.

The Associate MES Software Engineer is responsible for participating in designs, development, testing and implementing manufacturing execution

system solutions and technologies. The scope, size and complexity of these efforts will vary from enhancements to existing product lines or

large scale projects to introduce a new window or door product. As technical skills advance development assignments will become larger and more complex.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

·      Interpret business requirements and technical design specifications into MES solutions code

·      Develop test plans and test cases to be used in the execution of unit and system testing to ensure product model quality

·      Assist with the deployment of software changes into the production environment

·      Develop technical and user application documentation

·      Provide end user training and support

·      Assist in the documentation of business and functional requirements

·      Develop and maintain relationships with business customers and IT staff

·      Collaborate with other Software Engineers and IT Business Analysts to develop technical specifications by interpreting business, product and technical requirements

·      Provide and meet time estimates for assigned deliverables

·      Research and develop skills in new development tools

 

QUALIFICATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

·      Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Management of Information Systems or related discipline

·      1-3 years of development experience with a limited number of application development languages

·      Experience with database technologies - prefer SQL and Oracle experience

·      Able to work independently as well as in a team environment

·      Able to manage and prioritize tasks and projects

·      Strong problem solving skills and able to generate creative solutions

·      Strong focus on customer service and goes the extra mile to ensure a positive customer experience

·      Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·      Various other shop floor/manufacturing application
